Morning session: “Standard essential patents (SEP) : intangible assets like no others”

This presentation was an opportunity to compare legal and economic views on the subject of FRAND royalties.
It was the opportunity to review the case law on the subject in France and in the world, and to discuss the main issues relating to the valuation of these standard essential patents (SEPs) and the notion of FRAND royalties, particularly in light of the European Commission’s regulatory proposal on standard essential patents, submitted on April 27, 2023.
