Company valuation in the context of employee share ownership

SORGEM Evaluation provides its independent opinion on the value of several unlisted companies to determine the share price in the context of employee share ownership, often organized in France through FCPE (company mutual funds).

There is a specific recommendation of the AMF (the French regulator) on this topic (DOC-2012-10): the mutual funds invested in shares of a non-listed company have to be valued by a financial expert. The valuation method is determined at least every five years by an independent expert, who should however define a new method in the case of a significant change in the company’s business or when there is a material change in the company’s financial situation.

In this context, we use our specific expertise to value companies operating in various industries (Animal Health, Engineering, Jewellery and Watchmaking, Retail, Insurance Brokerage, Asset Management, etc.).
